Eight Port or Four Port — Check Before You Order

Toyota changed the intake manifold on the RZ engines part way through this generation, and it decides which kit bolts to your engine.

  • 8-port manifold kits — listed for 1995-1999, for both the 2RZ 2.4L and the 3RZ 2.7L, in low boost and high boost.
  • 4-port manifold kits — listed for 2000-2004, same engines, same two boost levels.
  • Smog legal — the 1995-1999 8-port low boost kits are smog legal. The 2000-2004 4-port low boost kits are only smog legal for 2000-2001. If you are in California, that line matters more than the boost figure.

If you are not certain which manifold you have, count the intake runners before you order, or call us on 1-928-505-2501 with your VIN.

Low Boost or High Boost

Low boost is the sensible choice on a healthy engine with stock internals, and it is the only route that stays smog legal. High boost asks for supporting work and an engine you trust. Both run the same TVS 900 charger body, which replaced the older MP62 and moves more air more efficiently at the same drive ratio.

For the 3.4L V6

The Magnuson TVS1320 system covers the 1995-2004 5VZ-FE. If you are searching for a 3.4 TRD supercharger, this is the current answer — same application, current hardware, and available rather than hunting a used TRD unit.

Which Year Truck

These kits fit 1995 through 2004 Tacomas — 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 trucks take the 8-port kits, and 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 trucks take the 4-port kits. The same kits suit a 2RZ or 3RZ in an older Pickup or 4Runner.
