Buy the Set or Buy the One Bushing?
Worth thinking about before you add to cart, because these trucks are now thirty years old at the front of the range:
One worn bushing, everything else fine — buy the individual part. Sway bar bushings are the usual culprit and the usual search.
The truck clunks, wanders or rides harshly and you have the suspension apart anyway — the master set is the better value, because the labour is the expensive part and you only want to do it once.
The result is a stiffer, more aggressive suspension that stands up to off-road use, and on a truck with tired rubber it also tends to come out quieter than what it replaced, because the slop is gone.
Sway Bar Bushings — Measure First
These are listed by bar diameter: 25mm, 26mm and 27mm. The right one is whichever matches your bar, not whichever matches your year, so put a caliper or a tape on the bar before ordering. This is the single most common reason a bushing order comes back.
