Start Here: Two Questions

What year, exactly? There is a split inside this generation that catches people out. Our rear leaf spring sets are listed 1979-1983 and 1984-1988 separately, so a 1983 truck and a 1984 truck take different springs. Front sets are listed 1979-1985, which covers 1983 through 1985 here but not 1986-1988.

2WD or 4WD? On the rear springs these are separate part numbers, and it is the commonest ordering error on these trucks.

Where to Go From Here

  • Lift kits — the biggest section, 2" through 5" plus long-travel 3-link and 4-link. Start here if you want the truck higher.
  • Stock height — replacement springs for a truck you want to keep at factory ride height. Worn-out springs, not a lift.
  • Lowering — honestly thin on this generation: Sway-A-Way torsion bars only. If you want a real drop on a 4th gen, call us.
  • Brackets and hardware — spring hangers, shackle mounts, U-bolt flip kits, link brackets, shock hoops and limit straps. What you need when you are building rather than replacing.

Stock-Height Springs, By Year and Drivetrain

These are LCE-built sets, not re-boxed generics. If the truck sits low and rides badly and you do not want it lifted, this is the fix.

Building Rather Than Replacing?

The hardware section carries the pieces that do not come in a kit: front U-bolt flip kit, rear U-bolt flip kit, spring hangers, shackle mounts, and the Trail-Link Four crossmember.

Not sure what your truck has? Tell us the year and whether it is 2WD or 4WD and we will confirm the part numbers before you order. The rest of the 4th gen Pickup catalogue is one level up.
